business plan, which documented business vision and strategy for CEO.
Incorporated in the structure of the plan was a competitive, marketplace
and financial analysis.
Strategic partnerships were documented as well as proposed organizational

RAILINC
Developed requirements
documentation and functional specifications for several projects. Conducted user interviews and performed a needs analysis.
Prepared hazardous materials and emergency response requirements.
Wrote requirements and functional specifications using algorithms for
ISM Data Quality project. Reviewed
contract with vendor to improve processes in production environments to increase
productivity. Worked as part of
a team to prepare a company workshop on system development life cycle methodology
to solicit new input from analysts to improve the process.
LUMINARE
MULTIMEDIA, INC.
Responsibilities included
defining project and business staffing needed.
Monitored costs for projects up to $7.1 million by resource and deliverables.
Facilitated new project planning by developing responses to Requests
for Proposals. Prepared job descriptions, designed the hiring process and
hired management, support staff and consultants.
Instituted quarterly performance reviews and bonus structure to reward
employees to enhance motivation for increased performance during a high growth
phase. Established Lines of Credit
and Banking relationships. Secured
insurance for needs of company. Prepared
non-disclosure and contracts with attorneys.
Wrote proposals and helped to establish business.
FIDELITY
INVESTMENTS
Responsibilities included
interfacing with all levels of the company - from vice president to data entry
clerk, to obtain information on electronic channel architecture.
Compiled and published documentation that described applications used
at Fidelity, the environments the applications operated within and transactions
within each application. Information was given to the systems architects
as a reference for the hardware and software environment.
DUKE
CLINICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE
Responsibilities included
preparing the Intranet site for the organization and meeting with managers of
clinical trails to gather and analyze the content.
Developed and instituted a design for the Web site and made content accessible
to those involved in clinical trials. Assisted in the development of test plans consistent with the
Keane System Validation Methodology. Ensured
that the Voice Response System accurately randomized and assigned drug kits
consistent with the specified protocol.
THE
NEW ENGLAND
Responsibilities included the development and implementation of the Client Teleservice Center’s insurance intranet site for programmers and testers. Examined the requirements for the Electronic Commerce project which allows customers to use a customized version of “Managing Your Money” to perform financial planning. Prepared workflow analysis and produced data flows and batch run schedule to show how strategic partners would update information nightly using batch programs.
STANFORD
UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Responsibilities included writing procedures of the hospital’s billing system to assist in the process of a new billing system for the hospital. Updated the Programmer/Operations Manual which was used in the migration from the University’s computer system to the Hospital’s computer system.
Worked with programmers to develop technical specification manual for networking protocols. Project was a joint venture project with Digital Equipment Corporation. Worked out tight guidelines and budget to ensure that specifications were delivered on time.
Assisted with the Transaction Processing System on an IBM mainframe running MVS/CICS to prepare materials for a team project. The project improved response times for customers at the ATM machines.
Developed materials to retrain staff on the procedures used to move money around the world in the cash reimbursement system.
Prepared web site
to educate sales staff on new products offered by Schwab.
Of particular importance were the features and benefits of the Roth IRA,
Tax Deferred Investments, Money Market Accounts, Frequently Asked Questions and weekly topics of special interest.
Developed a manual
which explained the inventory system used throughout the work on Bechtel engineering
project. The inventory system was
a repository for all materials used on projects.
For example, the inventory system was used to build a nuclear power plan
in China.
Assisted the system
programmer in developing a performance tuning manual.
Developed three manuals for the new Accounts Receivable System.
Audience included: data entry personnel, system administrator and operations team.
She also prepared the global Management Information Systems budget by
divisions: Financial Development, Database Administration, Data Services,
Operations and Marketing, and Administration.
The Global Development budget was $9.7 million.
When Royal Viking closed down the San Francisco site and moved to Miami, there were no instructions on how the system operated or how to maintain the system. Materials were prepared on how to maintain and use the Reservation System and the Skald (frequent cruiser club) System.
